About The Product:

  • The harvesting process of Celtic salt is quite different from regular table salt. Seawater is channeled into shallow clay ponds called "salins," where it is left to evaporate under the sun and wind.
  • As the water evaporates, the salt crystals form and sink to the bottom of the salins.
  • The salt is then hand-harvested using traditional wooden tools.
  • This process gives Celtic salt its distinctive grey color and slightly moist texture.
